Multi-sectoral technical team to deliberate on and harmonise the proposed agenda items in preparation for the 13th National and County Governments Coordinating Summit.

The meeting provided an opportunity for representatives from national and county government institutions to review the proposed agenda items, clarify the issues raised, identify areas of common interest and assess their strategic relevance to the Summit. Particular attention was given to matters of national and intergovernmental significance that require consultation, coordination and policy direction by both levels of government.

The engagement forms part of the structured preparations for the 13th Summit and is intended to ensure that the proposed agenda items, supporting reports and presentations are focused, evidence-based and aligned with the Summit’s mandate and threshold. The discussions further sought to consolidate issues that require collective action and avoid duplication or consideration of matters that can be effectively addressed through existing intergovernmental mechanisms.
