The Committee

Welcome to The Intergovernmental Relations Technical Committee (IGRTC)

Intergovernmental Relations Technical Committee (Technical Committee) is a State Agency established under Section 11 of the Intergovernmental Relations Act, CAP 265F of the Laws of Kenya IGR Act. It comprises of a chairperson and nine members supported by a Secretariat established under section 15 of the IGR Act.

The Technical Committee’s main functions include to provide a framework for consultation and cooperation between the national and the county governments; administration of the day to day activities of the Summit and the Council of Governors, functional analysis and transfer to give effect to Article 186 of the Constitution and resolution of intergovernmental disputes in line with Article 189 of the Constitution and Section 33 of the IGR Act.
